These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Haitian American Business Summit website, services, and event ("Services"). Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The Services are operated by the Haitian American Business Summit ("HABS", "we", "us", or "our"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

Using Our Services

Account Registration

Some features of our Services require you to register for an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update this information to maintain its accuracy. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

Event Registration

Registration for the Haitian American Business Summit event is subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse registration or admission to any individual. Registration fees are non-refundable except as specifically outlined in our refund policy.

Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content

The content on our website and materials provided at the event, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, and software, are owned by or licensed to HABS and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

By submitting, posting, or displaying content on or through our Services (such as speaker proposals, feedback, or testimonials), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute such content for the purpose of providing and promoting the Services.

Photography and Recording

HABS may photograph, audio record, or video record portions of the event for promotional and archival purposes. By attending the event, you consent to being recorded and photographed, and authorize HABS to use your likeness, voice, and image in any such archival or promotional recordings without payment or consideration.

Code of Conduct

We are committed to providing a harassment-free, inclusive, and professional experience for all attendees. Attendees are expected to behave in a respectful manner and comply with the following code of conduct:

• Treat all participants with respect and consideration
• Communicate openly, with respect for others, critiquing ideas rather than individuals
• Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and speech
• Be mindful of your surroundings and your fellow participants

HABS reserves the right to remove any attendee who violates these standards without refund or compensation.

Payment and Refunds

All payments for registration and other services are processed through our secure payment system. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Refund Policy

Refunds for event registration are available under the following conditions:

• 100% refund for cancellations made at least 60 days prior to the event
• 50% refund for cancellations made 30-59 days prior to the event
• No refunds for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the event

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@haitianamericanbusinesssummit.com.

Event Cancellation

In the unlikely event that HABS must cancel the event, registrants will receive a full refund of their registration fees. HABS is not responsible for any other expenses incurred by registrants, including but not limited to travel and accommodation expenses.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HABS and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the Services or the event.

The total liability of HABS for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services, regardless of the form of the action, is limited to the amount paid by you to HABS for the event registration.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HABS and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

Changes to the Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Services after the changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
