Biography

Guerlince Semerzier is a distinguished nonprofit executive and business consultant with extensive expertise in organizational development, personal growth, and community empowerment. He has partnered with leading institutions, including the Immigrant Family Service Institute (IFSI), Massachusetts Immigrant Collaborative (MIC), Tufts University, Cambridge Health Alliance, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, providing strategic guidance to organizations such as Haiti Ventures, the U.S. Haitian Chamber of Commerce, and EPECARE.

Guerlince is the author of A-Z for Nonprofit Organizations (2019) and The 5Reasons Empowerment Framework (2024), and creator of the 5Reasons Empowerment Journal (2020). He founded 5Reasons Empowerment Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on personal development programming, and established 5REASONS BRAND LLC, a wellness lifestyle company.

His expertise in immigrant services and organizational leadership has been featured on NPR, Voice of America, FOX, WGBH, and other major media platforms. He regularly serves as a speaker, guest podcaster, and panelist at conferences and educational events.

Guerlince holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Salem State University, completed a graduate fellowship at Tufts University's Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and earned a Nonprofit Leadership Certificate from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice at Tufts University/Tisch College.
